DOUBLE 「10 YEARS BEST -We R&B-」 2008.2.06 OUT

It’s been 10 years since DOUBLE (originally a duo, sisters SACHIKO and TAKAKO) debuted in the Japanese music scene and now a long-awaited best album, “10 YEARS BEST -WE R&B-” is set for release on the 6th of February. The 32-track, double CD contain the complete collection of DOUBLE’s works from the past 10 years. To commemorate DOUBLE’s 10th Anniversary, a special website is now online at double10years.com. The limited edition 2CD+DVD comes in a special packaging and the First Press will include a 60-page booklet.

DOUBLE 「残り火 ~eternal BED~」 2007.12.05 OUT

Queen of Japanese R&B, DOUBLE (Hirasawa Takako, 32) is set to release her new single, “Nokoribi ~eternal BED~” on December 5th, this comes just five months since her recent single, “SUMMERTIME feat. VERBAL”. The second track will be a rearranged version of “Winter Love Song” from her original album “Reflex” this past August. This will be her 25th single to date and will be released under the For Life Music Entertainment label. Just recently, DOUBLE and DJ KAORI released a music video of “Miss DJ!!” from DJ KAORI’s new album, “DJ KAORI’S JMIX”.

DOUBLE, which was originally a sister duo formed with SACHIKO, first debuted with the single, “For You” on February 4, 1998. After the sudden passing of her sister in 1999, Takako continued with her music career as DOUBLE.

Here’s the latest collaboration from DJ KAORI & DOUBLE entitled “Miss DJ!!”. The song will be from DJ KAORI’s upcoming album, “DJ KAORI’S JMIX” that is scheduled to be released on October 24th. The new album will be a mix of HIP HOP, R&B and Reggae from various artists including Amuro Namie, Utada Hikaru, Kato Miliyah, MISIA, AI, Leah Dizon and much more.
