Listening to it now. She really changed her style. Her first two albums were this pop/upbeat stuff. READY TO GO! (my favorite) took more of a techno/experimental/upbeat turn and this album, I feel, is full of ballads or at least laid-back/mellow songs. This album relies more on acousticy beats (some are exceptions) and “natural” music.
Even from the cover, you can tell it’s going to have this laid-back feeling. I’m a bit disappointed (I feel it’s a step back from her previous album) but nevertheless, most of the songs are really great. I guess she’s using her strength (ballads).
I’d still recommend it to any melody. lovers :) I already think this album is better than her first two [sincerely & be as one] but still doesn’t beat out READY TO GO!
