Musician, Songwriter and Seiyū, Halko Momoi (Haruko Momoi) performed this weekend at the Convention Center as part of the 14th Annual Honolulu Festival event. Here are a few photos I took today.
The nickname is taken from HAL 9000, the computer onboard the Discovery in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. Halko is very famous in Japan for being a voice actress and singer/songwriter. She was also part of a singing team with Masaya Koike in a group called “UNDER17”. Together they performed songs for video games and anime.
Some of her notable voice roles include Komugi in The Soul Taker, Chika Minazuki in Ai Yori Aoshi , Tama-chan in Bottle Fairy and Ai Hayakawa in Final Fantasy: Unlimited.
